Children and youths took part in early cultural contest, organized with BCCCI’s support

The Chairman of BCCCI Viktor Azmanov and the rector of the Veliko Tarnovo University Prof. Plamen Legkostup handed out the awards to the winners of the Bulgaria and China - Ancient and Unique Civilizations contest. The award ceremony took place in the Veliko Tarnovo branch of the Confucius Institute.

130 children and young people from all around the country participated in this year's competition, organised once again by the Bulgarian-Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Chinese Library and Information Center at the St. Cyril and Methodius University, the Veliko Tarnovo Confucius Institute and the Humanitarian School in the old Bulgarian captial.

The young contestants were asked to present works on the topic of Chinese and Bulgarian culture. At the ceremony the best were awarded with certificates for their participation.

The works that stood out were those of students from the Aprilov National School in Gabrovo, the Veliko Tarnovo Humanitarian School, the Bacho Kiro School in Veliko Tarnovo, university students, etc. The jury, divided into different sections, evaluated the participants' work in different age groups - from preschoolers to students. They participated with presentations, essays, reports, pictures and more. Among the evaluators was the director of the Veliko Tarnovo Confucius Institute Iskra Mandova, who expressed her admiration for the talent of all the young people who took part in the contest.
