Baba Marta is a unique Bulgarian tradition that has been passed on through the centuries since ancient times. On the first day of March, everyone presents their family and friends with a white-and-red decoration called "martenitsa" and wishes them health and happiness with the words "Chestita Baba Marta" (literally Happy Grandmother Martha's Day). People wear the "martenitsa"s until they first see a stork, a swallow or a cuckoo. Then they take off their "martenitsa"s and tie them on blossoming fruit-tree branches.
The Bulgarian-Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry wishes its members, partners and friends Chestita Baba Marta!
