China bans foreign produced cars for administration officials

The anti-corruption campaign that began the Chinese authorities in 2012, is growing in a large scale. After the officials were ordered to drastically reduce the cost of banquets and were forbidden to buy expensive gifts, the party began with the cars for the officials.
The call of the Secretary of the Chinese Communist Party and the Chairman of the People’s Republic Xi Jinping towards his officials to observe decency and save money was followed by a direct prohibition for the officials at the local level to drive imported cars, reports The Wall Street Journal. From now civil servants will be able to use only Chinese cars.
